Dear Barbanera,

Beautiful pictures :-). It's nice that the pictures already show the correct names of the mushrooms ;-).

They are termophili fungi of our region....

In my opinion Amanita crocea, Xerocomus subtomentus and Russula foetens are not specific thermophil mushrooms. You will find them here in Germany even in the colder regions in great numbers.

Greetings

Birgit

Amanita crocea

Birgit, (vor 8890 Tagen) @ Matthias

Hello Matthias,

then comes amaniata fulva and fhe grey i don´nt now,

Amanita fulva has a Volva which is light brown on the outside, white in the inside. The Volva of Amanita crocea behaves inversely: Outside white, inside similar to the cap of the mushroom.

Greetings

Birgit

Hi Matthias,

Birgit

Lactarius rugatus? Russula foetens?

Caro Barbanera,

thank you for the nice pictures from your country.
Of two determinations I'm not convinced and would like to know your opinion.

1. The first pictures is titled "Lactarius rugatus". In my opinion it is not, but L. volemus. L. rugatus has much more distant gills ("lamelle spaziate"), L. volemus has crowed gills ("lamelle fitte"). Another difference is the reaction on FeSO4: rosa = L. rugatus, green = L. volemus

2. The picture titled Russula foetens may well represent R. inamoena. In my opinion it is unusual for R. foetens that the cap becomes totally flat, but R. inamoena shows this more often. If you have exsiccates you should have a look at the spores, they are very different in ornamentation.

Best regards,
Andreas

Re: Lactarius rugatus? Russula foetens?

Barbanera, (vor 8890 Tagen) @ Andreas

Dear Andreas,
Photo name is only for internet i write rugatus but i think is a volemus.....
We have much rugatus in our territory thei have large lamellen that volemus have stricts...
Only a microscopical study can to resolve that question......
because rugatus is a volemus that have not "Cistides".....
but in this time i havent time for microscope...
In my country we like Lactarius rugatus and some pilzefreund prefer to other mushrooms....
Colour-photos are original colours very dark-red-brun-orange and lamellen have a colour dark cream-couloured...... very simile to original mushrooms......
thank for your explication on reaction.....
Is possible are Inamoena or subfoetens but i have not essicatum and i tink Groupe " foetens" i write Russula foetens only for internet i not have studied this mushroom...
thank for your agreeable interest.....
Yours faithfully
Barbanera
